Notes:

BIRTH-DEATH: The birth and death years of both Andrew Persinger and Elizabeth Stickleman were obtained from the record of Mrs. Willie Carper Murray which is listed in the Roll of Honor Lineage Books of DAR vol. 157 page 242.

PARENTS; The parents names of of Andrew Persinger were obtained from the Centennial History of Alleghany County, pages 134-138. The parents names of Elizabeth Stickleman were obtained from Elizabeth's marriage record and records of Augusta Co.,VA 1745-1800 pages 159,160 & 347.

MARRIAGE; Marr date of parents obtained from Botetourt County Marriages 1770-1853 p. 560.

BIRTH-MARRIAGE: The additional birth year of 1790 for Elizabeth Stickleman and the place of her marriage of August County and marriage date (day specifically) of 24 July 1811 were obtained from Dorothy Weaver, Route 3, Box 66-W, Oreange, VA 22960, in her book "John George Weaver Family" printed March 1980.

CHILD: The memory of my mother Mayma Ethelyn Lemmon and of James Edward Lemon, a cousin, established that Rebecca C. Persinger was a child of Andrew Persinger and Elizabeth Stickleman.

BIRTH: The birth date of Rebecca C. Persinger obtained from Della (Hannah) Burdett, her granddaughter.

CHILDREN: The approximate year of birth for children 5 through 13 obtained fro Census of Alleghany County, VA for 1850. The names of the first five children were obtained form the book "David Glassburn - Virginia Pioneer" by Oma Glasbur Robinson pub. 1964 by Ward Richie Press, Los Angeles, CA.
