The possible father of James Gilliland might have been Nathan Gilliland. The ancestral file of LDS Church lists the birth year of James as 1748 and the place as Lancaster, PA., and gives the marr date as 13 Jun 1763. It also gives the birth place of Susanah Young as Augusta Co., VA and her death date as 12 Ju 1842 and her parents as John Young and Agnes Elizabeth Davis. The place of birt of all the children of James and Susanah is given as Rockingham County, VA and the death date of Sarah (Sally) Gilliland as Dec 1850 in Millboro,Bath, VA.
