The sponsor of the christening of their son, Johan Ludwig, was John Ludwig
Lehman, the son of Benedict Lehman (He may possibly be the father Hans Jacob)
Child #1, Christian Lehman probably is the Christian Lehman who arrived in
Philadelphia 29 August 1730 with 77 Palatines and their families, in all 260
persons imported in the ship Thistle of Glasgow, from Rotterdam but last from D
ver (England). On board was the famous Peter Miller, who later for many years
was the leading spirit of the Seventh Day Dunkers of Ephrata. (Ref: Pennsylvani
German Pioneers, 1:31)
Johannes and his brother Johan Ludwig, sons of Hans Jacob, were both confirmed
17 April 1718.
